HAITI APPEAL Fraud
Unfortunately, some are trying to cash in on this situation. I grew up in the pacific and know how much these people care about each other.
Check the email addresses, if it supposed to be Red Cross, make sure it is the Red Cross, not redcross @gmail for example. This would be a hoax.
The fraudsters seem to like Western Union too, so be warned, and give to the right people.

Steve Martin from Symantic today reported on the BBC that 58% of Australian Businesses have suffered some kind of data or security breach. The majority of these, (90%) are targetted at personal and banking details. Mr Martin put Australia's high numbers down to no current legislation requiring the reporting of data loss / breachs, and to the fact that many small to medium businesses cannot afford the IT support team required to prevent these incidents.
